I have a bag of Dahlia tubers I'm waiting to plant. The back of the bag says after last risk of frost. I'm zone 6b and our average last frost date was pushed far back this year to May 15. Google your zone for average last frost date.

I'm thinking I'll start them inside, earlier than planting out. Was wondering if others did this, when?

In Zone 5b, purchased mine from Walmart and put them in plastic pots out 3 weeks back, there is about an inch of growth now.

I'm running a little late this year. I guess I usually start them around the middle of April.
