If only it were that easy. My 'peach' of a neighbor is my husbands ex girlfriend and they have a child together. (She recently married my husbands cousin, that's how bad she wanted to be part of this family) She is a toxic ex and takes him to court everytime he breaths wrong. So, asking her to replace my azaleas will be a HUGE joke to her. Sad thing is, azaleas are deadly to goats and they went to town on them, So I'm sure when her goats start dying off it will get turned around on us. Lucky for me, I have pictures of them loose in our yard.

OK, so are you saying then they were eaten as well as pulled out of the ground? About all you can do is put them back, water them in, and wait to see what happens. If there are torn or jagged places, clean those up with a sharp cut with your pruners so they don't offer foothold to insects or some type of disease. There aren't really more choices available.

If the goats had eaten a toxic amount, symptoms would likely show up in about 6 hours.

hmmmm, just replant them and see how it goes. The worst thing that can happen is you have to buy a couple of new ones.

Hmm. Sounds really 'complicated'. Well, as long as the root ball did not dry out, it should live. If this 'goat thing' is going to be a common occurence, you must look into wire protective cages.
