Whoa! For that price, If it was me, I would try to grow my own from seed. You do realize it takes time and patience to train the roots to look like that in the picture. But it might be fun to try.

Tracy, it is a local nursery. But I also did consider the root is not easy to manage when changing soil or depot the plant.

The plant is absolutely fabulous, this can't be disputed. I would expect that the training of roots will need to continue for the life of the plant. This would definitely require 2 people to repot. It actually looks like one of the Adenium arabicums that you see in the contests or plant shows.

Chris you have a great deal to consider. I recently purchased a quantity of Adenium arabicum seeds. I am looking forward to raising those.

Thinking about the number of plants I have purchased say over the past year or two...it probably adds up fast to be about the same cost as this single plant, so in retrospect I have spent this much on plants. Let us know what you decide, Chris.

Hi Chris, I do have seen that adenium in the nursery which I have told you. The nursery owner told me that they have sold it for Malaysian Ringgit 850/ about two months ago. I think it is worth the money spend on it if you like it. You do not often come across this specimen every day.

Wow very nice! What nursery is that? Where do you live? I would totally buy it if I was you. If you know how to care for adeniums and would be able to handle it. I just bought 9 adeniums online and it's coat me a ton of money. I wish I had a local nursery that had adeniums like that. If you do buy update us with pics. Good luck on making the decision

My local nursery they dun sell on line, but u can try Thailand. I have a FB friend that sell adenium plants online, u can try to add him. He post alots of his plants on FB and he has lots of this Arabicum plants that look pretty nice. I will give u his FB name later, let me check.

Chris, They are all beautiful. I guess one needs to know who are reputable sellers and whether the amount they are being sold for is fair.

There is a gentleman that is very well respected in Thailand (Pathum Thani) and I have conversed with him. I am not sure of where you live, but I know he would atleast give you some idea as to whether what your are looking at is fair and also steer you in the right direction.

His name is Anucha Hiransirilak (Facebook). He is a very honest and brilliant fella.

Would hate for you to spend too much and maybe the price is a good deal, but it is worth an ask.

That plant for that price is very cheap. So many sellers on US now, so the price went down about 60%. 10 years ago, that plant would cost 3 times more.

No I didn't buy because a lots of work and now I am as strong as last times, although I love it very much but can only look at it.

Aww, Sweetie, you are very wise. I know you love flowers. Arabicums don't produce the lovely kinds of flowers you have showcased in your other threads. The aesthetic value of the arabicum is the caudex and root structure, nothing else. And to do any kind of grafting to put pretty flowers on an arabicum would totally destroy the beauty of the arabicum.
