Diamond In The Rough

As posted before, I am in the process of having my bathroom remodeled...hey, that's why I've been posting here! Anyway, yesterday I emptied all the drawers and cabinets in preparation for the cabinet installers to rip the out today.

In one of the drawers I found a diamond that I lost 12 years ago!! I never had a clue where I lost it--ballgame, gardening, vacuumed it up, airport, etc. I didn't have the $$ to replace it and have often daydreamed about finding it. Perhaps I could sell it to pay for the bath reno!!

Wow! I found my wedding ring much the same way, lol, in a drawer that I was moving to make way for my bathroom demo.

Your ring is pretty

What an awesome find. I found a diamond on the ground the other day. I was so excited. I took it to the jeweller and found out it was fake. Now I'm going to plant it out in the kids playground and Punk them with it! lol

So mean. But so fun.....

It was an amazing find considering it had been there all these years. I could have just dumped the contents of the drawer but thankfully went item by item.

John, good Punk and a life's lesson.

I found my lost diamond in the dishwasher drain assembly after 8 years! I was right next to it all those years and never knew, I had looked everywhere for that diamond. Luckily I had convinced hubby to upgrade me in the meantime . . . Old diamond is now in a beautiful necklace.

8 years in the dishwasher!? Now that's amazing. I never told the House Guest (my DH) that I lost it and he never noticed it so I couldn't share the excitement of finding it.

I now have renewed hope that the pair of pink diamond earrings I lost in the remodel of 2007 might sooner or later be found! Yay for you!
