This bathroom looks very nice! Is it not to your style?

the house was built about 8 years ago, we have lived in it about 3 years. The floor tile is slipery when wet. I added some up close pictures, the angle of the tile just looks odd and starting to crack in the back of tub. The vanity is a cherry color but is showing wear.

Do you like Jacuzzi because I was wondering, instead of demo of current tile and trying to come up with a new solution just get rid of it. I think a free standing tub would open space up. Perhaps the one you have could go on Craig's List? The vanity is nice and can be spruced up. I like the idea of new tile on floor and shower!

If you refinish the cabinet, use a spar urethane for the finish. It is the most waterproof and will protect against the humidity from the shower. I used it on my kids vanity and it has help up wonderfully, but the door and closet door need to be refinished now.

Replacing the tile depends on how you feel about it and your budget. You may want to bring in someone who knows tile to evaluate the cracking and determine how serious it is.

Thanks for additional info. For safety, I suggest you get a tile pro out to deal with the slipperiness right away. The bathroom was ahead of trends when it was built. If you want to change all the tile, I'd get a tile pro out to take a look at the whole bathroom. A bathroom designer could probably recommend something ahead of the trend today (not gray color or mosaic or pencil).

thanks for the suggestions...the grandkids, niece, nephews and even me like the jacuzzi tub. I would like to add a pretty ceiling light that casts shadows on the ceiling. I need to replace the floor. does any one know if the showers glass enclosure can be reused? I think I am struggling because due to a leaking shower pan some of the tile has been replaced, along with the shower doors, vanity top and paint. I wish I had the tile replaced when the other work was done. dang...the paint was a wrong choice.

You'd need to talk to a glass contractor about reusing the glass shower enclosure after getting all new tile, new shower pan, and so on.
