What to do with salvaged stained glass window????

We are in the process of building our dream home and this window (there is only 1 - I am just showing both sides in the photos) was salvaged from the 100 year old house that had been on the property and was in very bad condition and needed to be torn down. I would like to have a nod to the past by doing something fun with this window. I do not want to install it as a window, I want to do something fun and/or decorative with it either inside the house or outside. We are building a modern farmhouse with a wraparound porch. Any ideas?

The window is gorgeous. Is the and area where you can cut and build a drywall wrapped opening a couple inches wider than the window? Hang the window with hooks from the top. The light in each room will shine through the stain glass allow it to be enjoyed from two separate rooms.

You could use it as a transom over a door, especially if there is a laundry / bathroom with no window. If not I'd hang it in mudroom as a decorative piece. Glad you were able to salvage something.

Your house is not built yet? Is there someplace you could actually build the window into an interior wall? Don't let the décor distract you in the photo. Something like this.

The window on the left is an antique window from England. I made the one on the right. You could also use it as a transom above a bathroom door. Do not use it out side in weather. Because of the windows age the lead came will not hold up and your window will fall apart.

Like desert, I have hung old glass panels by chains in front of windows. You could also frame it with a few small LED lights in the frame, and hang it on a wall as a piece of art. You could build it into a pantry door in your home...

You could put a few pictures in the center clear glass, maybe some cool black and white photos that hold special meaning, or if you can find any of the 100 year old house the window came from. I know you are not using it as a window so why not use it to frame special memories.

I hang them in front of other windows the light that comes thru is so beautiful! I have some type of stained glass in every window in my house. Plus colored glass bottles line the upper window ledges.

Beautiful grands! And just the right number to fill the spaces. If you backlight the stained glass it would be even more spectacular. And the grandkids are sure to love that.
