I had mulch delivered by a new landscaper and came home to find they dumped mulch all over my beautiful tulip bed, burying many of my bulb and perennial plants. I tried to move the mulch off and away and then washed the leaves with a garden hose, but most leaves are completely shriveled and burned. I'm really depressed. Will my tulips be able to survive this and store any energy in the bulb for next Spring? Is there anything else I can do to rescue them? They weren't supposed to mulch here. I don't mulch my bulbs.
