Flooring in walk-in closet

I have enough left-over brazilian oak flooring to put in the master bedroom walk-in closet, but not enough to do the entire bedroom. Would it look too odd to have hardwood in the closet and carpeting in the bedroom? The closet and the bedroom will be separated by a pocket door.

Not at all. Sounds luxurious. Hardwood is so much easier to keep clean. Go for it!

I haven't settled on the exact color, but I'm leaning towards a warm neutral beige.

Okay. I think it would look good. But do know that sometimes if the color of carpets and wood floors aren't the same it won't look the best. So, to make it looks alittle more 'together', when you go shopping for the carpet bring a piece of it with you to match it with the carpet...just a idea. Hope I have helped!
