It could be Amethyst Beauty. It is Not Warsaw Nike, it would have yellow stamens.

Since it looks to be getting a little more activity here, thought I would ask again if anyone might be able to ID this clem. It has been so beautiful!

It's blooming now, in North Carolina.

It might not be Amethyst Beauty since it seems early for type 3s to be blooming in NC, though if there are other summer blooming clematis already blooming near you, it's a good possibility. I would guess that it is most likely an early large-flowered, type 2 prune. Check out Edomurasaki. Regardless of what it's called, it's a beauty! Remember that the petal color may not photograph correctly as blue shades are notoriously difficult to photograph, so look at time of year of flowering, anther color, petal shape as well.

If Rhapsody and Barbara Harrington are type 3's, as I have written down, then yes they are blooming here in coastal NC.

I googled Edomurasaki photos, and a couple of them do look like mine. However, it was not one that I bought... unless the name was mismarked. But, as I said above, I did have an Amethyst Beauty, but not many photos I see online of it look like mine. I guess I will always wonder. Thank you for trying to help. :)
