It's still snowing at 5 pm here at Spruce Grove, though haven't had the snow build up and damage to the tree limbs like in Edmonton ... but, my real concern is just how COLD and frosty it'll become the following nights, sure would hate to see a severe damaging frost.

The next two nights will be most harmful when temperature hover in the minus range,
snow cover can help. Now we NEED cloudy nights!

Yes, if it clears off overnight we'll be in trouble in this region ... we need cloud and or a brisk wind.

One night down, it appears that it cleared up overnight, but there is still a lot of snow cover to protect. Tonight will be the real challenge. Most of the snow will melt at +8, but it's going down to - 2 and mainly clear skies. CROSSING FINGERS!

I don't know exactly how cold it got here last night, but plants such as the hostas and lilies were looking a bit watery and translucent, though have recovered just fine .... whereas, some of the fern fronds have been fried a bit, but nothing overly serious.

My weather app says minus 6 here in Beaumont,..yuck!
