every time you leave something that bothers some percent of your buyer pool, thats a bad thing. and as some are actually deathly allergic to bees (as opposed to merely put off by the lack of a tub in the bathroom), i'd say you'd be opening yourself up to a potential lawsuit. allergic folks arent expecting a bee hive as part of a house tour, i'd send them off to sleepaway camp.

We have to agree with the above comment. When selling your home, you want to ensure that you are neutralizing the space to ensure it appeals to the most number of buyers. Typically this will mean packing away a number of personal items so anyone viewing your home can easily envision how they will live in the space.

In this case, we would recommend arranging that little excursion for your extended "family" to ensure that potential buyers are not put off by the bee hives and to also ensure the bees do not get agitated from the increased traffic that will be viewing your property. They are on the balcony !?! Geez. It isn't as if they are stuck in the corner of an acre lot. You are preventing many from checking out one of your property's selling points---the view. Now that is ridiculous.

I have to agree about the legal liability should someone be stung and have a reaction. You may love them to death, but others don't share you sentiments. It's the same as if a buyer went into a home with a huge snake in a terrarium not knowing it was there. They'd freak out and that would be that with no offer on the home.
