I would split it down the middle. The two at the top and the three at the bottom.

I would probably try to split them all up, but I'm pretty fussy like that. You might be able to do a half and half split. I wouldn't just leave them in a clump like it is now though- again that might be just me being fussy rather than something necessary.

If I solit 50/50 can the plants then go together that close or do I pick the best one once transplanted and cut the other two off? Not sure if edamame beans can grow that close together. Thanks
