Modernize bathroom

Recently moved into 6 year old house. This is a beautiful piece of furniture but it's too French country for my eclectic house. I'm painting the walls silver and using this fabric and chandelier. Do I change out faucet and and pulls to chrome ? Paint/ lacquer the drawers ? Or leave as is ..

I'm not a fan of painting beautiful furniture. We are just about to embark on our own bathroom and I have an old washstand that I am in the middle of polyurethaning, for a day or too I contemplated painting the cabinet, but I'm so glad I didn't. What is the top made of? Is is marble?

Forgot to add if you're painting the walls silver I would change the taps to chrome

The vanity is a nice piece. Since you have an eclectic taste, seems like there's room for it. I like the idea of changing out the fixtures to something on the pewter, or chrome side. Once you paint the walls and add the chandelier, it will dramatically change the feel of the room.

Thanks all. I'm going to change everything but the furniture and see how it looks. Yes the top is black marble.

Changing the vanity facet to a brushed nickel would tie into the silver walls , and consider changing the hardware to add a personal touch.
