We are preparing to update two 1989 bathrooms; a master bath and another full bath. My biggest concern is designing a shower to replace a tub/shower combination. I had "cultured marble" which I would like to update but I did love the no grout feature of that type of surface. I would like the new showers to have modern materials but be easy to maintain. Secondly, is the Jack and Jill style vanity area (two vanities separated by a wall), completely outdated? In redesign would it be best to just take out the division between the vanities but still leave a door to the shower/toilet area? Thanks for help on this.
