What's wrong with my money tree?

2nd pic is of plant earlier this winter. Full plant, don't know what's happening now. I've had plant about 8 yrs. Plant was in small pot when I received as gift, repotted after 2 yrs. and then repotted at 4 yrs. According to what all I've read, I'm doing everything wrong, but plant has thrived til now. As soon as it gets warm out I get plant accustomed to sun and then leave it outside all summer, (live in Chicago). Winter, it comes in and usually losses it's winter leaves only to re grow in spring, except last 2 yrs. Not much leave loss. Also planted in regular plant soil, nothing special. My leaves are dying and some are turning whitish from middle out, then they are curling and crumbling at ends. See pics. What do you think is wrong?

the media looks sodden ... when is the last time you let it dry completely.. or nearly so ...???

is it really that yellow????

does it get any direct light indoors... is it in that corner for the pic.. or all the time.. i see no window???

I have let it dry out about a month ago. It has been outside

(right now weather permitting). And yes, the leaves are that yellow and crumbling.

where is the plant ...

and where outside ... sun or shade????

turbokat89, it is beginning to wilt. If the medium is dry, water it. If it improves in 'posture' and/or color, then that is what it needed.

If it improves in posture only, then it probably needs fertilizer. The standard is a balanced water soluble product at half the labeled rate; applied instead of water, not more regularly than once a month. You can return to the regular plain watering program as soon as the desired effect has been attained,

@Ken, It's in house right now cause to cold and windy, no sun. Weather permitting I take it outside on deck, it only gets sun a little while. If warm enough I keep it out most of day. Once it's accustomed to sun and weather is staying warm, I leave it out.
