Can a larger block be made?

I have a kitchen island with a "stainless steel" like top. I want to be able to roll out dough and work on it but I am afraid that the "stainless" is really not stainless and potential oxidized surface would contaminate the food items. Large block placed on top would let me do large projects. I was thinking 24" x 30-36" would work nicely. Thanks,
