How is sisal for bedroom use?

We have a grayish hardwood floor in our bedroom and need to "warm" it up
So it doesn't feel so bare. How would the sisal/ jute be underfoot?

    Natural fiber rugs are a great addition to interiors to add texture and warmth. However, these rugs are best reserved for homes without children or pets as natural fiber rugs can feel abrasive.

    Found a natural sisal- look ( polypropylene) one with a gray fabric binding at Lowes. Not delivered yet but I hope it's softer than natural sisal. ( I do love the smell of sisal too) might not catch our pugs' toenails either!
