Thanks. Maybe I worry too much that it doesn't look perfect. I do love this rose. I guess when I see those perfect pictures of climbing roses, I think that's what mine should like too.

I agree with the above posters. It is a gorgeous the way it is. I like the natural look. As long as it isn't in anyone's way, just leave it as it is.

I have 3 Dublin Bay climbers. This winter was brutal in our area (NY) and I had to cut them low. Now they are starting from 2 feet tall with no buds yet. Yours is simply beautiful.

Back to the OP question: a uniform look will require some heavy pruning. I wouldn't do it.

That is a gorgeous Dublin Bay, the way it should be grown if you have the room, I think. I have to prune my Colette too much because of tight space. I'd really like to let her grow more freely, as you have done with DB. It's just stunning. Don't change a thing. Diane

It is gorgeous! If you want it to look more orderly now, pull the parts where you want them and use a little plant wire to secure them. Then you won't have to prune! I do that all the time with my roses and other tall plants/climbers that respond well to it :)
