Marble countertops for kitchen or quartz lyra

We are doing a white kitchen, the island base will be a dark chocolate. I like the look of calcutta marble or carrera marble. Quartz Lyra is similiar but not exactly the look I want. I have 2 children and don't want to be stressed out if a stain getson it. What do I do? any other suggestions for marble look a like?

Caesarstone misty carrara, cambria torquay and waverton, silestone lagoon and bianca river, dupont zodiaq coarse carrara, hanstone aspen all are white engineered quartz products that look like marble. You need to see them in person however to really decide if they look enough like marble for your taste.

You might try looking at Cambria. It's a quartz product. Harder than marble but has better veining than other quartz.

I have a Quartz Lyra countertop. Looks VERY natural (but I also have a real marble backsplash).
It's just stunning.
I love it.
Really do.

queeni1951--Sophie meant to write "patina," which is the term used for the etching and scratches that marble gets with use. If you don't mind it, marble is a beautiful natural surface. If you do not like it, you're better off with the man-made quartz material.
