Counters

We are thinking of doing these same cabinets from Ikea, wondering how they are standing up to wear and tear and also what counter tops you chose. Looks like a quartz but can't tell the color. Thanks!

What colour is the backsplash? Wondering about the cabinets being creamy white and if that will go with a white subway tile backsplash

That is a white glass tile backsplash. White subway tile would have a similar appearance and will work fine with creamy white cabinets.

where can I purchase the backsplash shown?

You can find white glass backsplash tile at any tile store.

What color is the crown? Did you match it to the off-white cabinets or is it white? We are putting in bodbyn cabs and have white trim throughout our house... wondering if we can continue white crown around the cabs or if we should try to match with off-white crown. Thanks.

The crown is colour-matched to the cabinets. I think this looks better and more integrated than using the house trim colour.

Okay thanks. I agree that looks better. Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to transition best from the white crown to off white where cabs start.

Easy. Just change colour when the house crown meets the kitchen cabinet crown, as in this other IKEA kitchen project of mine:

Can I ask which countertops and backsplash you used? We want a white kitchen, but we worried since we are using the grimslov off white! This kitchen looks great!

@Libby Mondello -The counter is Caesarstone "Misty Carrara." The backsplash is a plain white glass tile.

Have you considered the new Grimslov light gray? (I just saw it in my local IKEA store, but it wasn't on the website or in the print catalog yet.) It would work even better with this counter and backsplash than the Grimslov Off-White.

@home reborn- Thank you! We have not seen that yet! We are in Houston and it is not in stores here yet!

can you tell us the backsplash? I also have these cabinets and it's hard to find a backsplash!
