Hi Everyone,

My husband and I currently live in California. In October we will start building a 6300sq ft house on the beach in NJ. We can not wait! Our architect is in NJ which has worked out great and of course the builder as well.
My question is our interior designer: we hired someone who is also in NJ, however me being here and her there, I find I am picking and choosing everything myself. I spent 2 days with her in April and that's it.

So should I have chosen someone here in California to work with or did we make the right choice since we are building in NJ. I'm doing fine on my own now, but feel I am paying her for nothing right now. Her rate is $2 per sq ft.
