And order a custom counter and sink for the two units side by side? I have two perfectly good all wood cherry cabinets that I'm thinking of putting side by side, then priming and painting white, swapping out hardware, and then ordering a custom marble slab and doing an off-set under-mount sink.

Would this work? I hate like hell to throw away two perfectly good vanities just because we are renovating our bathroom and want white instead of the dark cherry.
