Totally fig newbie here.

Looking for some advice on a new container fig.

I just ordered a new VDB fig tree from Four Winds growers. I'll be planting it in a container since I live in Iowa, zone 5A.

I'll be using a 5-1-1 growing mix that I've got prepped.

Should I bare-root the tree to pot in the 5-1-1 mix, is there any root-prep I need to do before potting, or just "pot up"?
