Hi there!! I just saw that you didn't get an answer to your question! What is your situation with the callous now, did it make it? That happens to me sometimes too, once it gets soft I can't get it to stop even with re-cutting.

I had the same problem with the plastic wrap also but I hadn't used a heat mat with it. When I tried it with a heat mat I got a fantastic callous. it looks like yours was sent to you with some issues, I think you did everything right I just don't know that one could have been saved. Have you contacted the seller? If not I would certainly contact the seller - it looks like they might be from Derrick (A Piece of Paradise)? he will probably replace it for you if you let him know.

Sorry about my delay in responding...seems God is blessing Houston, Texas with looooooots of rain...oh...and a tornado or two. But yes these were purchased through Derrick...matter of fact these were part of seven that he forgot to ship in my first order. The top picture is how it came straight from the box...I've cut it back and did the bag rooting method...so we'll see...no real change. My last order from Derrick was strange I emailed a list of cutting I wanted and asked if he had them just to make sure. Which he confirmed the list and stated he had them...but when I received them only two were the ones that were listed. I still love them, but I really wanted those specific ones. Kinda disappointed, but I think I would still recommend him and the prices are pretty good...and I like doing the cuttings instead of purchasing them rooted...as I get to bond with them as they grow. :)
