Hi Ingrid, They look very nice, but I find that putting them in smaller pots to start them gives them a better chance. Heat helps them start and it will take a lot of heat for those big pots. Some people and I am one of them even start them in water bottles with holes on the bottom since they will get warm and also you can see when the roots start to come in. Barb

I agree with Barb. I have been using clear water bottles for rooting cuttings ever since reading a post by Loveplants2 a while ago. Also, the soil looks very moist in the pics. For me, I don't water cuttings at all until I see growth at the tips.

elucas, oh yes, and there will be more added, I'm sure! I've been talking to a friend of mine who lives down there and we might do a swap when mine get big enough to have cuttings.

SHhhhh, the soil wasn't moist, just fresh out of the bag so it wasn't dried out in the sun yet making it lighter. I don't water them until they show signs of life either :) I'll have to try the water bottles next time. The big one did well just sticking it in the soil and we'll see how the newbies go!
