I hope i didn't create a detrimental scenario.

I've planted several hummingbird attracting plants about 10 feet from my vegetable garden. While bee balm, Pineapple Sage, and other hummer specific plants attract these amazing little creatures, they're also notorious for attracting butterflies, moths and bees. Bees are a good thing but moths and butterflies might find my vegetable plants perfect landing areas to deposit various off spring. Last year I only found a couple of hornworms that the local wasp population took care of for me. Hopefully, the two gardens will thrive in their own element.
