First time growing green peppers in FL. just bought two plants at Lowe's this spring to try them. I'm not impressed with them. They each made one pepper which is about half ready to pick , have gotten tall, lost all bottom leaves and are pretty bushy on top half.

Is this normal for North FL? BTW, does anyone grow banana peppers here? They were so prolific for me when I lived in KY.
