If one of those has potato leaves then that is the one that it is. That is the most one can identify until there is a ripe fruit set. Then that would narrow it down to between 50 and 100 of a few thousand. Good luck, Some of the folks more well versed in the ones you are growing will speak up late on.

It came from the beefsteak mix and unless you know the varieties in the mix you'll have a near impossible task of figuring out it's true name. According to Tatiana's TOMATObase, Omar's Lebanese, Copia, and Flamme are all regular leaf so it isn't any of those.

Yep, one of the 100's of potato leaf varieties. And that flower is what is called a "fused bloom" or "megabloom". Lots of discussions here about them the search will pull up. Personally I pinch them off as if they produce fruit it is grossly deformed and I prefer the energy of the plant go towards growth and normal blooms. But some like to leave them just to see how ugly the fruit can be.

Probably Brandywine Pink, Brandywine Yellow, or if not, Aunt Ginny's Purple since those varieties are offered by Swallowtail Garden, which sell Lynn's mix as well as the other varieties you are growing. When it matures compare your fruit to those three varieties and you have a very good chance of knowing since those varieties can very easily be distinguished.

I get a lot of lumpy, stitched ones too, digdirt, but no where near the ratio of fuglies on an internet search. I think the reason is because when they are catface-alien looking people automatically label them as fused-blossom products, but when they are large and more symmetrical fused-blossoms frequently they are not recognized as coming from fused-blossoms.

I thought I was growing a Bradley tomato now but it may be a tag mix up with Orange Russian 117. The one with the Orange Russian label seems too late season so I'll see if it is a labeling swap in a bit. Stand by soon to see a picture of the large double heart that was early from this plant labeled "Bradley" (Bradley was beside OR117, under my lights to add to suspicion) ... it melted my heart just to look at it ;-) It blushed the day before yesterday and it is a fused-blossom heart which promises to be quite attractive.

I'd put my ratio at 50/50 ... vs. a random internet google on aesthetics since posted pictures segregate when folks usually relate the trait to ugliness which is definitely not always the case in my experience. Temperatures are warmer here and that may make mileage especially vary.

If I had to bet on it, I'd put my dollar on Brandywine just because that might well appear in a beefsteak mix!

I doubt that Brandywine will flower this early spring in zone 6.But the leave are kind of PL similar to BW.
