Dressed for the holiday

We couldn't resist adding a little patriotic decoration to our house for Decoration Day. I'm a believer in honoring our nation's fallen. The re-enactment band I play in performed at a Memorial Day observance on Saturday. BTW- The house is not that blue- I had to edit the pic to make it look better, and it came out rather blue, instead of the gray-green that it actually is. I've found it to be a tough color to photograph accurately. The second pic is yours truly in my band get-up. My little alto horn is nearly 100 years old!

I love the house...so patriotic. And those columns are amazing!

Jay- You look great and the sepia tone picture is perfect with the horn. A musician and a builder...well done :)

Hey mushcreek, great decor. I can't help but notice a difference in the color of that siding between here and the photo under the May building post. This looks more blue while the other was green. Is it just the lighting?

There was strong backlight, and I tried to edit the picture, but it threw the color way off. It's definitely green, but it has proven to be a difficult color to photograph.

the house looks great all decked out and you look very handsome in your uniform.

I do hope you can make a good sized print of you in uniform with the horn to hang in your new home!
