I have an Old Virginia tomato (second and third plants from front of picture are both Old Virginia) that is in a wilting "cycle", as soon as the sun comes out bright it begins to wilt and when the sun goes down for the evening, it perks back up. It has done this for the last 5 days. No amount of water will make it perk up while the sun is out. It does not show any obvious leaf symptoms that would put me towards Verticillium or Fusarium wilt, my only idea is that possibly the root system was overly stressed when I pounded the stakes into the ground a couple weeks ago. This plant is also very stunted as compared to the other plant of the same variety right behind it. Does anyone else have any ideas?
