Curious if you went through with your plan? And if so, what was the result?

A client ordered a sample of a similar tile (black & white from Cle) awhile back & it got dirty pretty easily & is seemingly uncleanable, so she is apprehensive to use it in her entry. I realize they need to be sealed (even though they are presealed), but your experience would be great to hear.

My bathrooms were completed in early January. With about ten months of use, I am pleased with my decision.

I was also taken aback by how fragile and porous my sample tiles were. But the installed, sealed product is much different.

Two of us live in my two bathroom apartment. My boyfriend uses this bathroom almost exclusively. We don't have a bath rug because we love the look of the floor unadorned. Because he knows how much I love this floor, he does try to clean up any splatter after he uses the toilet (apologies if this is too graphic, just trying to be precise). Other than that, the floor is scrubbed with dishwasher detergent once a month (cement tiles require a ph neutral cleaner). I should also add that we don't wear shoes indoors and might have less dirt as a result.

The floor is definitely showing areas with a bit of dinginess--not as white as when installed--but it's the kind of "wear" that I was hoping for. I like that it's less harsh and contrasts the porcelain surfaces of the toilet, tub and wall tile.

I have attached two photos. One shows the wear in pretty good detail (the rectangle at the bottom is my phone shadow). If your client is one who wants shiny clean and pristine, then don't get cement tiles.

It's also worth telling your tile installer: these tiles will stain by colored grout, and they crack easily during installation.
