Anyone have Anna Kreeck?

I have Anna Kreeck. I received it with my fancy bloomers order. Couldn't find much about it online. Anyone have this one? What are the blooms like? Leaves change more or just the edges?

Such a lovely, healthy looking plant! All I know about this variety is that is a large growing vintage plant. I also look forward to the blooms.

Terri- thank you! It seems to be growing fast, definitely doubled since I got it!

Rosie- thank you! I couldn't find much either. The picture looks different from mine the leaves look darker but maybe it's from age or just the picture?

You're welcome. Not knowing what she looks like myself,,,,that is why I put the .com there for you. Thought that might give you somewhat of a lead. Variegation, as I have learned it, responds to being kept cooler. I lose some of my variegation when it gets hot here in the summer. But it gets better in the fall/winter. I don't know if fertilizer affects variegation. Rosie

That seems to be the only photo I could ever find, but it's off. So since last night it has really been bugging me! I searched by the other name on the tag (E.Trent) and this is what I found. Anna Kreeck Scroll down a little 3rd picture on the left. That is what it looks like. Maybe the other one from that site was mislabeled? I'm still going to post pictures when it blooms!

My Anna Kreek has medium green leaves with the varigation on edges only. The flowers are paler pink and double. I have had her for many years, at least 20 I would guess.

Hello All. I just came across this older thread. Fantastic to see this beautiful flower out there and thriving. It is difficult to find cuttings of them now. Thank you for posting! For those interested in the story of the violet, the Anna Kreeck is a hybridized violet created by Eugene Trent in the early-to-mid 1980s in honor of his mother-in-law. Trent eventually created enough hybrids to name them after each of them women in his family at the time. After serving in WWII and a long, accomplished government career, he was a master doll-house and miniature maker, violet propagator, and eventual website developer, to name a few of his hobbies. Probably more than you wanted to know but sometimes it's fun to know the roots of the story (no pun intended). I hope the violet has a long life as Trent and his wife did. They were fantastic grandparents and are missed dearly.
