Pulling out a sapling by the root

I have, what appears to be, a maple tree sapling that somehow started growing between some patio stones so I can't dig it out. I was wondering if I pull it out by the root, and then replant it, will it grow or is that too much stress on the sapling? Either way, it has to come out. I'd just like to save it if I can. :)

Water the area well to loosen the soil before you attempt removal. If you can get down between the pavers with a knife or similar tool to loosen the roots a bit, that can help as well. Then just pull gently and hope for the best. If it comes out with a root system intact, you are good to go.

I took some photos of a leaf I pulled from said tree. Can you help identify this type of tree???

Looks like norway maple but you should break a leaf stalk and look for white sap

You can probably pull it out and replant it but not in summer heat, do it in fall instead
