I am jealous but loving your black purple, wish I would get the color you get in yours, but you need the heat I guess for it.
Your sweet Lyndi looked like Butterfly gold for a minute to me. My Sweet Lyndis petals never get that beautiful shape yours does, or the coloring.

Hey George,
Can I ask who you got your Black Purple from? Didn't I read a post of yours where you stated you had 2 Black Purples, one with green leaves and the other with dark leaves. I believe that people post that there were to varieties of black purple. I saw LM post her pic, she stated she had the green leafed variety.

Hi Freak, I bought a Black Purple last year from a US vendor. It has dark leaves and purple branches. It has not bloom yet. This year I bought a Black Purple from a Thai vendor who claims Black Purple and Anchan are different varieties (I communicated with them). It has green leaves and stems. It has not bloom yet. Then I bought Anchan from another Thai vendor. I grafted it on a two year old seedling and it bloomed (the pictures that I posted). It has green leaves and stems and the plant is identical to the Black Purple from the first Thai vendor. So, go figure. We have to wait until my plant with the dark leaves blooms to get the answer. There is a chance it might be a mislabeled plant but I doubt it, I got it from a reputable US vendor.

Did you get one of your Black Purples from Nui? I think Nui's BP and Kukiats are the same and thats what Brad of BBB sells(kukiats), and Khurong sells his BP that is from Nui.
