I'm also looking for this variety!I would be grateful for any information!

It is not easy to be kept in condition and in size respectively. It would not surprise me if the commercial production of this hybrid has been discontinued entirely. My guess is that it requires elevated substrate temperatures for its survival.

You know, I was wondering the same thing. Many years ago I had a beautiful Pink Floyd and I thought I was growing it well but it languished and never came back. I purchased a nice, plump and healthy looking bulb that was grown like all the others I have but I guess it didn't like that. Since then I just never bothered with this hybrid and there are plenty of others that are just as pretty and not as fussy.

I agree. It is a beautiful bloom, but why try when you cannot keep it alive.

Abandon it because of difficulty in cultivation I will not)) because the conditions are different. Perhaps it I like it. Until I not try to not give up the idea to find him. Perhaps in private collections, he is still there.

I have managed to keep my bulbs alive since 2008. Flowering is a
rare event, and cause for celebration.
From my experience, ‘Pink Floyd’ enjoys plenty of water during active
    growth, and heat.

This frontal view doesn’t capture the elegant trumpet, or the
    delicate fragrance.

Oh how lovely! Blanca you tease me!

    Do you have offset?))

Yes, but you are in Russia (and 'Pink Floyd' is one of my treasures).

    If you visit California...

Haha)) I would be happy, Blanca! But it is unlikely I will)) and if forwarded to another country? You have allowed shipment of plants in European countries? I'd found a friend who can meet the parcel. I would have bought your offset ))And if there is even the possibility of the two)) My friend also looking for this variety.

    Of course, I have been
sharing my bulbs, seeds, and pollen for many years; I just haven’t sold them. I love and nurture the bulbs in my collection
as if they were my children. I trust
that, as a woman who shares my
passion for Hippeastrum, you will understand. Trading is
fun, a great way to obtain rarities, and best of all it can lead to true
    friendships.

    Off Topic Note:

Like you, I grow cacti and caudiciform succulents. I am also very fond of tortoises!

    Hi Blanca,

What a wonderful thing to say. I feel the same way in that I would rather share or trade than buy. Unfortunately there are some folks that severely over price things and sometimes completely out of reach to shmoes like myself. Please keep sharing as I will as well. :-)))

    Warm Regards,

    Fred

Yes, Blanca)) I understand you very well. But sometimes it is impossible to find what you want nearby. Then, in the search for the desired we find friends hobbies, changing experience.

    :))And cactus)) yes)), and more))

I suspect Tennyo from Komoriya has some of the same background as Pink Floyd. This flowered for me 2 years ago, but since then I've twice had do surgery to save it from rot. I now have two small bulbs, but I wonder if I will see it bloom again someday. If not, maybe it will be resurrected from my seedlings of Pink Rascal X Tennyo, which seem to be doing well.

Perhaps)) in the kennel a lot trumpet Hippeastrum. I noticed a persistent desire them to rot))

    PS

Still hoping to buy Pink Floyd:))

    Best regards,

    Elena.

Here is Pink Floyd's side view that I found in my picture files, March 2008. A beautiful but very finicky trumpet.
