Basement bathroom tile design help

I have purchased this tile for my basement bathroom and I'm just not sure if it will all work together.

Light gray wood grain tile Lg rectangular shape for shower walls.

Dark rustic wood grain tile for floor of bathroom.

Octagonal small carrera marble tiles for floor of shower.

Glass and carrera marble accent tile with green, Aqua and gray tones. Probably a thin strip horizontally around shower just above soap insert with inside of soap insert to match.

There will be white trim and doors. White vanity. Silver facets.

I'm thinking about a paint color to match the Aqua color in the glass accent tile.

My main question is...will the glass accent tiles and carrera marble octagonal tiles be okay when used together? I like them both but am not sure I can pull it together.

have you considered running the accent strip vertically instead of horizontally? might give a nice feeling of height. do it behind the shower head and handles.

They look like they'll work but I'd do one more thing. Remove the dark wood look tile from the mix and take another picture of the 3 you're using for the shower to make sure the colors work which it looks like they do.

I would eliminate on of your tiles at least.

why not use the same floor tile in the shower or use the same shower wall tile for the shower floor and just cut it into 4" x 4" for the grade.

I assume the bathroom is not very large

Here they are without the dark floor tile. I really like the octagonal with the light gray. I guess I'm just not feeling the glass tile. I may take the advice of using all gray in the shower on the walls and the floor in a different size with the octagonal tile as the accent strip and soap insert. That would keep it very neutral and I could pull it blue or green or tan.

I like the advice to place the tile vertically to create the illusion of more height in a basement bathroom.

I would start back with your favorite items. Is that the octagon shower floor & The dark wood floor tile? Then build again with your two favorites in mind. The mixture of the four items seem to fight with each other. The wall tile & floor tile seem to have too much of the same grain. Can you switch the wall for a quieter one, or use the wall tile on the floor? The glass mix tile & the octagon have too much busyness. Can you find a wall accent with more of the stone color from the octagon tile? My thoughts anyway. Obviously it's very hard to see colors on a computer screen.

Why not using the octagonal tile in the niche of the shower as well?

I personally would not use the glass tile in the shower. I love looking at the glass tile, but I think that it will become dated.

i think you should pick what you like. the wood look tile will also become dated. everything becomes dated. you have to like it *even though* it will become dated.

I love carrera marble and the rustic feel of the bathroom floor. We got the other tile at a restore for a good price so I'm going to make it work.

I've decided to go with octagonal carrera floor in shower and soap insert with gray tile on walls with rustic flooring in bathroom.

Hope it all works out and feels neutral!
