My husband and I just bought our dream home (pretty much) except we don't like the kitchen, but we don't want to spend to remodel it. It is the first kitchen we have had with all the appliances built in, and a kitchen island. We dislike that kind of design but we are making the best of it. The seller's 36" gas cooktop in the island needs replacing. It has two dedicated burners, simmer burner and one power burner. We cook a lot and we simply cannot cook with any burner that has a temperature restriction like that. Is there any way to have a gas cooktop altered so all the burners are normal, regular burners? Thanks!
