I do think that once you flush the water (that has been sitting in the hose and cooking) out, there will be no hose chemicals in the hose detectable by any means whatsoever. I could be wrong; I often am.

Thanks for answering, Grubby. All the newer hoses come with dire warnings. I confess I'm a label-reader, and it sounds like if the materials they use don't get you, the antimicrobial stuff will. Nothing to lose sleep over, but since I have to buy a new hose anyway, I decided to do the research and try to find the safest one I can. For people with children, it's important to know that part of the warning is to not fill kiddie pools using them.
