Could you tell us where you are (general area), and post a picture like the third one that isn't washed out by the flash? It's hard to see any detail, as it is.

Chickweed?

I can post more pics tomorrow. I am in middle TN. Was thinking chickweed but I am not sure. It sorta looks like but doesn't.

Break off a stem - if it starts to ooze a milky sap, this is Euphorbia maculata, a common weed. If it appeared after you applied Preen, I would say you might not have been generous enough with the pre-emergent.

Euphorbia maculata IS a spurge but it is an annual. Does self seed readily if allowed to flower.
