Trying to locate lightweight garden string

My uncle kept me supplied with a lightweight cotton string that I used for my pole beans. I'm out, and my uncle has passed away. I have no idea where he got this string other than it came from a hardware store in one of the Carolinas. "Diann 4/2" is on the tube label, but that isn't enough to go on. This string was so easy to use. I just put a stick through the tube and quickly wove from top wire to bottom line in a zigzag manner. It's lightweight enough that I could easily break it with my hands, and I never had a problem with it supporting or not supporting my heavy pole beans. Does anyone use this string, or can you tell me where I might find it? Thanks so much.

I think 4/2 is the size of the string. Perhaps check out a craft store to see if you can find any.

Rodney, the craft store was a bust. I need very lightweight string in thousands of yards. I may have found a place in NJ and will call them tomorrow. Thanks for trying.

If that doesn't pan out for you, try The Garden Barn in Mountain City Tenn. Their phone number is 423-727-0144. I'm in western NC and that's where we get our string. They just call it bean string. They sell a ton of it every year for making bean trellis. It comes on a big spool. Good luck.

I called the company in New Jersey, and when I gave them the information I have, they were able to find the string for me. I had to buy an entire case of 25 spools, but I still bought them. Thanks for trying.
