I live in montreal quebec zone 5b, and I saw this the other day across my house and was wondering if antone knew what rose it was. It's a rose that's not protected over the winter yet it doesn't seem to have been affected by the cold.

It seems to bloom on old wood exclusively (though I could be wrong)

it does have a vivid flower color. Here's a picture. My phone does however make the flowers look a little more vivid than they are really..

the first picture is the whole rose bush. It's about 2 feet by 2 feet. most leaflets looks like they have 7 leaves?

is it some kind of rugosa rose?
