That looks like Black Impala on the island to me, but you could also do honed black granite.

I really love this. Would the whole look be spoiled by using a (laminate) -feels like a bad word around here? Is there a recommendation for a laminate colour/manufacturer? What sort of colour/material would you use for floor tile? I am trying to use a white kitchen for inspiration but have to use my existing cupboards which are taupe stained hickory. Thanks, its beautiful.

The matching laminate to the Hanstone Odyssey quartz used in this kitchen is Formica 6272-46. For the flooring... try pulling some large size porcelain tiles in the warm grey tones and see if they work with the existing kitchen finish. Good luck!

thanks, I'll have a look to see what will go with these obscure cabinets of mine. Can't find anything similar as they were custom coloured to compare a picture. Truthfully, i would rather paint them white- but its not going to happen.

Tanner, stunning kitchen. I am inspired and just ordered similar cabinets. What are your thoughts on doing a honed black top on the surround and amber brow granite on the island to pull out some if the brown from the wood?

Love the idea! I'm a huge fan of honed stone countertops and mixing materials. Good luck.

Do you have extensive experience with Hanstone? Any issues with quality control?

You can try Caesarstones 4141 or 5141 Frosty Carrina quartz. Silestone also offers Bianco River quartz that looks like marble (sort of). Thanks.
