Flowering Shade Shrubs Help! Zone 6

My font garden is seriously all shade because it is under the awning of my roof, except for the very end where it gets good morning sun. I am wanting to plant a few different flowering shrubs about 3-4 feet tall at the most, in the shade spots but I don't know what to plant! Any ideas?

I love love love hydrangeas. I would plant all hydrangeas if I could. I planted 2 endless summer last year just to see what would happen, and one died and the other one hasn't even grown. So I will have to transplant that.

If it's under the roof does that mean that it is not only shady but dry too? Hydrangeas need plenty of moisture.

Also, your roof overhang would have to be exceedingly deep to include a mature hydrangea. Sounds like you're planting shrubs MUCH too close to the house.
