Petunia African Sunset spacing

I grow Petunia African Sunset from seed and transplant into a 16 inches container. I don't know how many seedling put into. I just put all of them in (8). I think it's too much but no clue at all. Anyone can share their experience growing in container?

According to Park Seeds, it reaches about 10 inches high and spreads just under 2 feet wide. Should I just put one only?
