Need ideas on backsplash

Pulling my hair out in selecting a backsplash for my new cabinets and counters. WE have looking at glass tile, travertine with glass stripe, open to pretty much anything. Just looking for something to speak to me. Help.

I like the idea of glass subway tile. Since your countertops have a pattern (granite?) I'd go for a solid color in the backsplash, so it doesn't compete with them.

My wife was thinking the same thought. What color should I align with? The granite is Santa cecelia and the walls are more tanish yellow. Is just important that the color of glass tile be present in the granite or is contrast more important?

I've seen kitchens with tile that is a color in the granite, but I have also seen white subway tile done with this granite and it looks nice. I would probably pick a lighter cream color that coordinates with the granite.

looks like I may go with the Khaki glass tile from subway tile outlet. What color grout would be best. I have seen pics where it looks lighter than the tile and I think that is better than the ones that tried to match or go darker.

We have similar style granite and cabs - we did a white subway tile with white grout, its a clean and calming look and does let your granite be the focal point in a good way, couldn't be happier.
