Is this lupine?

This has been growing in a field on private property. The field is loaded with poison ivy so I don't want to venture close for a better photo. As near as you can tell, could this be lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus)? This variety isn't shown as growing in S.E. Michigan but it sure looks right to me. Or maybe it's something else. S.E. Michigan, USA

    I'm not an expert on lupines, but I don't think they transplant well because they have a long taproot. It might be better to collect seeds if you can.
