Is there a rain screen?

    Hi Greg. Yes, we did install a rain-screen. For those of you who don't know, a rain-screen is an air gap between the siding (the hardie board, in this case) and the sheathing behind it. It allows moisture trapped behind the siding to dissipate, which is important in energy-efficient, durable construction. In this case we used pressure-treated 1x2's to create the rain-screen.
