I think the half offset is more traditional, but I like the 1/3 offset myself. It feels like there's more movement in it. , whereas the traditional brick pattern is more static.

If you're doing the tile job (non-professionally) yourself, the 1/3 offset might also be more forgiving of tiny variations is the horizontal offset, as you have two rows between before the vertical joints should line up.

I prefer the 1/2 offset visually, but either one is really nice.

Thanks for the feedback. We are not installing ourselves, but I just gave the installer the word for the 1/3 offset. I'm hoping it looks great.

Thank you! I will have to ask the girl that's been helping me at the tile store tomorrow. I have a box full of subway tile samples from all over. Probably a dozen different ones in similar colors. We purchased all of our flooring from a local store and she happened to pull this one out from the back. I loved it and she could get it here in 2 weeks. Price was great as well. It was $9-10/sq ft. I originally had my heart set on crackle tile, particularly Encore, which was way out of my budget. I loved this one, even though it isn't a crackle, because it has the waviness of a hand poured tile. I will definitely ask her tomorrow and report back for you.

I like the 1/3, I had not thought of that when we had ours installed. It will look great. I did beveled subway and flat arabesque over the range, so kind of similar to your choices :)

It's a small local flooring store. Mom and pop type. I will 100% ask in the morning the name. I will let you know what the brand of the tile is. I know the arabesque is a different brand. We got lucky the colors were exact matches. It's Daltile, I believe, because we selected the same arabesque for the master shower, but in a smokey blue-gray. The subway brand is escaping me, but I promise to report back.

And crackle was my first choice until I couldn't find one I loved in my budget. My second pick was one that had some color variation around the edges, but again, couldn't find one in a light color like this with variation, unless it was way out of my budget. When I found this one I instantly loved it because of the waviness that the tiles had. The price was perfect for us and we could have it within 2 wks, which we needed.

She said it's from a company called Soho. I've done some Googling, but haven't been able to turn up the same thing. I know on the tile board it was available in several colors, some had that nice variation around the edges. That's all I can remember.

It's not Lancaster from Tile Bar. I have those samples already in my box of samples. They were nice though. The colors weren't quite right for what we needed. Dove was too grey and Vanilla was a little too yellow.

What is the size of the tile? Thanks for a answering all of our questions! I have a Quartz countertop, Rococo (LG) and am trying to decide on a countertop. Like you, I like the waviness of the tile.
