So far I have not seen yellow impatiens. Yellow flowers are one of my favorites as well.

yellow is not a natural color for impatiens however there is a relatively new variety called Fusion Fanfare Glow that is yellow. It would come as a single plant and be a bit pricy if you can find it. Begonias however do come in yellow, are easy to find and could be mixed in with your impatiens because they both like the same shady conditions.

Impatiens auricoma 'Jungle Gold' also is yellow and the wild impatiens (jewelweed) Impatiens capensis is part yellow, part orange.

The US native Impatiens pallida has yellow flowers but is a big plant. Impatiens repens is a lovely yellow-flowered tropical that's easy as a houseplant or outdoors as a tender perennial.

The Fusion series has a yellow color. I don't know if this particular series is resistant to impatiens downy mildew or not. Look for Fusion Glow impatiens.

I have grown yellow impatiens and cobalt blue impatiens.Theres a multitude of impatiens species out there besides the bedding and New Guinea varieties.Go for a true species for a good yellow.Most hybrids trying to pass as yellow look dull and not very interesting.

I love them all the same.Pink peonies with blue baptisia,Pink puffball shrankia with white lavender,leadplant and fame flowers.Cigar flowers with red petunias and zinnias,red flowering tobacco and buddleias.

The shrankia is a sprawling, native legume that loves very dry,sandy soil.It has ferny tri-pinate leaves that close at night and the flowers are pink puffballs that look like miniature mimosa flowers.It is very similar to the sensitive plant (mimosa pudica) and it's leaves will close just like sensitive plant when you touch it.What's great is shrankia is a perennial,so if you love sensitive plants it's great to have.I think I got mine from Prairie Moon Nursery.It has come back faithfully every year in the Sandy bed where I grow it with,manfreda,liatris,pussyties,rattlesnake master,fame flower,hoary vervain,leadplant,Missouri primrose,and pink primrose.It's a beautiful midwest desert garden with all drought tolerant plants.I had the native prickly pear in the bed also,but the thorns were becoming too much to deal with and all the pesky weeds liked to grow out of it making it hard not to get the small thorns in my hands,but it's a very special,beautiful plant just make sure you have a pair of good thorn resistant gloves.The hawk wasps like to dig their nest holes in it's sandy soil and I love watching them.
