Nicotiana "Saratoga" - open-pollinated??

Has anyone tried saving seeds from the "Saratoga" series of Nicotiana? Are they open-pollinated? Do the plants come true from saved seed? I have been saving seeds from Nicotiana "Crimson King" for years and it is a wonderfully fragrant but tall variety (prone to wind and rain damage). Saratoga has zero fragrance but is shorter, bushy and very early to bloom. Many thanks.

unless you physically pollinate them yourself... then yes.. they would be open pollinated ... meaning by the insect world ...

as to the rest.. i dont know ...

but if you have been saving and sowing the seeds for years... then it must be close enough to coming true for you ...

Crimson king is an old heirloom variety and therefore comes true from seed. Saratoga is a hybrid and will not come true from seed
